Aggie bats stymied in loss to Rose State

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Stepping out of league play for a game, the Murray State Aggies went well into the bench and hit some rough spots in an 11-0 road loss at Rose State College on Monday.

The Aggie offense was stymied throughout as they were outhit 12-2 by the Raiders in the contest that was halted in the seventh on the run rule.

Rose State plated a run in the first, four in the second, three in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth to finish the scoring.

Junho Son and Brady Taylor contributed one single apiece for the Aggies.

Allen, Graf, Brown, Smeltzer, Lovell and Springfield all saw mound action with Springfield posting the lone scoreless frame.

Now 28-15 on the season, the Aggies are slated to be back in action on the road Thursday to face Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton for the first of a three-game series.
