MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Freshman Keshanti Gordon opened the game with a pair of three pointers and Murray State led from start to finish on Friday evening while dispatching Connors State College, 81-66, to advance to the Region 2 women's basketball championship game.

Winners of 12 straight contests, the Lady Aggies will carry a 27-3 record into Saturday's 4 p.m. title tilt rubber match with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M with the champion getting an automatic bid to the NJCAA Division 2 championship tournament in Casper, Wyoming.

The championship teams split regular season meetings with NEO giving Murray State its lone conference defeat, 53-50, in Tishomingo and the Lady Aggies returned the favor with a solid 80-63 triumph at Miami that wrapped up the regular season crown.

Gordon came out on fire from long range and spearheaded a well-balanced offensive arsenal for Murray State, which led 25-17 after one quarter and 42-27 at intermission.

An 8-2 Lady Aggie burst to start the second half continued the same trend as Gordon canned two more long-range bombs to help ignite a 30-point offensive explosion from Murray State that put the contest completely out of reach.

Gordon connected for seven treys and ended with a game-high 21 points as Arissa Garcia pitched in 15 and Olivia Quapaw and Ongolea Afu tallied 14 points apiece.

Mya Cotto was just shy of putting a fifth Lady Aggie in double digits, ending with nine. Jordyn McNeal had five and Mireia Casas finished with three points.
