WARNER, Okla. – Despite an even first quarter, conference-leading Connors State pulled away in the middle two frames, as the shorthanded Murray State's Lady Aggies dropped a 78-51 road verdict on Thursday night.
Sosefina Langi pumped in 13 first quarter points as the Lady Aggies played toe-to-toe with the now 21-4 Cowgirls, but Connors outscored Murray State 44-21 during the following 20 minutes to take control. Murray State was playing without freshman stalwart point guard
Arissa Garcia.
Langi finished with 20 points and
Olivia Quapaw contributed 13 but they were the lone Lady Aggies to reach double figures.
Ongolea Afu and
Khalayah Willis tossed in five points apiece,
Cristina Laudan scored four with
Tierra Williams and
Mireia Casas both adding two.
Now 13-8 overall and 5-5 in league play, the Lady Aggies continue a three-game road swing on Monday at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.
