After struggling offensively in a scoreless tie last weekend, the Murray State Aggie men's soccer team broke out in a massive way on Wednesday, blasting the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain, 9-2, for a road conference victory.
Now 7-1-1 on the year, the Aggies will return home Sunday looking to avenge their lone loss in a league rematch with Rose State starting at 4 p.m.
Coach John Connor's squad wasted little time getting on the offensive with a goal just three minutes into the game. The Bucks answered three minutes later but Murray State reeled off two more goals in consecutive fashion to take the lead for good.
Rich Mountain narrowed the gap to 3-2 midway through the opening half before two more Aggie tallies pushed the edge to 5-2 at halftime.
The second half was all Murray State on the attack, pounding through two more goals in less than four minutes on the way to four more goals after intermission.
Sophomore
Lucas Peruzo put on an amazing offensive display with a double hat trick, which included three goals as well as three assists.

Hidemasa Saito notched two goals with
Jah-Malee Barclay,
Joel Green,
Daika Montague and
Maliq Thom all scoring one time apiece.
Dominic Woolley tossed in a pair of assists with Montague, Green and
Jack Smith also chipping in one.
