Lady Aggies stifle Seminole for 10th straight win

A stifling defensive performance was just what the doctor ordered for the Murray State women's basketball team, avenging their only conference loss of the season with a 65-45 blitzing of Seminole State Monday night at Beames Fieldhouse.

Seven players all contributed offensively in the first stanza as the Lady Aggies bolted to a 22-11 lead, which was 35-22 at intermission. A 16-8 burst by the hosts in the third quarter virtually sealed the deal for the club's 10^th straight victory while improving to 17-6 on the year.

Briana Knabe spurred the attack once again with 20 points while Remi Langmaid was the only other Murray State player in double figures with 11, including a pair of three-pointers.

Paige Taylor wrapped up with six points as Mattie Busby, Jade Millan and Reese Webb all pitched in fifth, Lanie Gooch scored four while Payton James, Bella Peterson and Teniola Okunrinkoya each had three.

The Lady Aggies face another pivotal road test in their next outing Thursday evening at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.
