25th ranked Murray women cruise by Connors

A third quarter offensive barrage opened the gates and the Murray State Lady Aggies pulled away to their 12^th straight victory, toppling Connors State by a 77-62 count Monday night at Beames Fieldhouse.

Murray State led just 17-13 after one period and 31-28 at intermission before finding its offensive flow with a 28-point explosion, keyed by Payton James with eight. The Lady Aggies then finished things off with an 18-13 scoring edge in the fourth.

Five Lady Aggies once again reached double figures, this time topped by Reese Webb with 16 points. Remi Langmaid canned four treys on the way to 15 points while Jade Millan notched 11 as James and Briana Knabe tossed in 10 apiece. Mattie Busby ended with seven, Lanie Gooch had six and Teni Okunrinkoya chipped in two points.

Murray State, which moved into 25^th in this week's national rankings, improved to 19-6 overall and will visit Redlands Community College for its next outing on Thursday night.
