Baseball Splits Series with National Park

Murray State College Aggies ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over National Park College on Friday.  The game was tied at five with Murray State College Aggies batting in the bottom of the fifth when Garrett Gruell doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. National Park College scored four runs in the fourth inning, but Murray State College Aggies still managed to pull out the victory.  The big inning for National Park College came thanks to singles by Mendez and Jacori Hicks and a double by Bassett. In the second inning, Murray State College Aggies got their offense started when Sage Hampton singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Cadge Wallace was credited with the victory for Murray State College Aggies. Wallace went two innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out one and walking zero.  Dylan Hill threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Hill recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Murray State College Aggies. Windham took the loss for National Park College. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out one. Mason Creacy started the game for Murray State College Aggies. Friday's game against National Park College was a heartbreaker for Murray State College Aggies, as they lost the lead late in a 9-4 defeat.  The game was tied at three with National Park College batting in the top of the seventh when Jimerson's sac fly scored one run for National Park College. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Murray State College Aggies tied things up at three.  Brady Benedict drove in one when Benedict singled. After National Park College scored one run in the top of the fifth, Murray State College Aggies answered with one of their own.  National Park College scored when Newsom singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  Murray State College Aggies then answered when Clay Jung doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. National Park College scored five runs in the eighth inning.  The big inning for National Park College came thanks to doubles by Arellano and Jimerson, a sacrifice fly by Mendez, and a fielder's choice by Newsom. Lewis led the National Park College to victory on the pitcher's mound. The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two.  #45 threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Colby Langford took the loss for Murray State College Aggies. The lefthander allowed five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out six. Jung went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Murray State College Aggies in hits. National Park College scattered 13 hits in the game.  Jimerson, Shoffit, and Mcbride each collected multiple hits for National Park College.

Game 3: Late Score Costs Murray State College Aggies Against National Park College
Murray State College Aggies lost the lead late in a 7-4 defeat to National Park College on Saturday.  National Park College trailed 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Shoffit doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. Murray State College Aggies got on the board in the first inning.  Garrett Gruell hit a line drive that was caught, scoring one run. In the bottom of the third inning, Murray State College Aggies tied things up at two when Clay Jung grounded out, scoring one run. #40 earned the win for National Park College. The hurler surrendered zero runs on three hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.  #28 threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Ryan Turbeville took the loss for Murray State College Aggies. The southpaw lasted five innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out five and walking one. Murphy started the game for National Park College. The fireballer surrendered four runs on five hits over four innings, striking out two. Murray State College Aggies saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game.  Patrick McCullough and Brady Benedict all managed multiple hits for Murray State College Aggies.  Benedict and McCullough each collected two hits to lead Murray State College Aggies.  Murray State College Aggies didn't commit a single error in the field. Game 4: Murray State College Aggies Clinches Lead in Eighth Inning to Defeat National Park College
Murray State College Aggies took the lead late in the game in an 11-5 victory over National Park College on Saturday.  The game was tied at three with Murray State College Aggies batting in the bottom of the eighth when Cyrus Campos drew a walk, scoring one run. Murray State College Aggies secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the eighth inning.  Ethan Moore, Campos, Brady Benedict, Chase Keeton, Clay Jung, and Brady Evans all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. National Park College opened up scoring in the second inning.  Mcbride hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run. Tim O'Connor was the winning pitcher for Murray State College Aggies. O'Connor surrendered one run on one hit over one inning, striking out one and walking one.  Cadge Wallace and Javier Sanchez entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. #88 took the loss for National Park College. The hurler surrendered two runs on one hit over two innings. Henderson started the game for National Park College. The pitcher surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out five Cameron Pool started the game for Murray State College Aggies. The lefthander surrendered one run on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Murray State College Aggies hit two home runs on the day. Moore put one out in the eighth inning. Ashton Inman went yard in the fourth inning.
