DENISON, Texas – Second-rated Murray State ran its softball winning streak to 27 straight with a pair of conference run rule victories over 19th ranked University of Arkansas Rich Mountain on Sunday in games that were moved to the turf of Grayson County College.

The Lady Aggies won the opener 10-2 and second game 9-1 while improving to 47-1 on the season and remained unbeaten in conference play at 24-0. The Lady Bucks slipped to 37-12 overall and 21-5 in league action.

Murray State will be back on the road Monday and Tuesday with Region 2 doubleheaders at North Arkansas College in Harrison before returning to host Carl Albert State College on Thursday.

In Sunday's opener, the Lady Aggies snagged an early 1-0 on a Bradi Harman first inning home run and added two more tallies in the third frame on solo bombs from Brylee Fanning and Harman.

Murray State's string of 10 straight shutouts ended with two Rich Mountain runs in the fourth that trimmed the margin to 3-2, but also proved to be the final Lady Bucks runs of the game.

Kaylee Carter singled and Adison "Bubba" Lee followed with a double in the bottom of the stanza to ignite a two-run flurry for the Lady Aggies as Kennedy Lord drove in one on a sacrifice fly and Avery Beauchamp knocked in another with a single. They tacked on four more runs in the fifth stringing together five hits, including doubles from Haili Igou and Beauchamp.

Cady Ammons' run-scoring single in the sixth ended it on the run rule as Harman recorded the pitching triumph, yielding a pair of runs on three hits with seven strikeouts in four innings of work. Carolyn Overton chipped in two innings of scoreless two-hit relief.

Harman posted three hits and drove in a pair to lead the offensive charge for Murray State. Lee and Beauchamp added two hits apiece with one each by Fanning, Igou, Ammons, Carter and Lord.

The second game went just five innings as Isabella Hardeman had another dominant showing in the circle, running her season pitching record to 21-0. She allowed one run on two hits, struck out eight and walked none.

Murray State scored just once in the first three stanzas on a Ryann Phillips two-out double that plated Lord in the second inning, but kicked the bats into gear with four runs in the fourth and four more in the fifth to end it early.

Lord and Beauchamp singled to start the fourth and both rode home on a Fanning double to centerfield. Fanning scored on a Rich Mountain error and singles from Harman and Ammons helped tack on the final score of the frame.

Fanning chipped in a two-run single one frame later and Igou finished it off with a two-run walk off triple down the rightfield line.

The Lady Aggies tallied 13 hits with Fanning, Igou, Harman, Ammons, Lord and Beauchamp all notching a pair. Fanning and Igou drove in three apiece.
