DENISON, Texas – Sophomore Bradi Harman erupted with five extra base hits while driving in 10 runs as second-ranked Murray State smashed Southern Arkansas Tech in the first two games of a conference-opening four-game series on Sunday.

Harman blasted a pair of doubles, one triple and two home runs to spearhead a Lady Aggie offensive barrage as they blasted the visiting Lady Rockets 17-2 and 11-0 as they ran their season record to 23-1.

The two teams will play another doubleheader on Monday in Tishomingo starting at Noon after having to move Sunday's games due to rain.

Kaylee Carter plated a first-inning run with a single to get the scoring started in game one for the only frame all day in which the Lady Aggies notched less than two runs.

An eight-run second stanza was when the action really picked up as Murray State sent 12 batters to the plate. Avery Beauchamp doubled with the bases loaded to drive in three for the offensive highlight of the flurry. Ryann Phillips also chipped in a RBI double.

Murray State scored four times in the third as Harman and Cady Ammons connected on back-to-back doubles ahead of a three-run homer off the bat of Kennedy Lord. Harman delivered a three-run blast of her own one frame later to fuel another four tallies for the hosts.

The Lady Aggies ended with 14 hits in just four innings offensively with Harman, Ammons, Carter, Lord and Phillips all contributing two. Brylee Fanning, Haili Igou, Adison "Bubba" Lee and Beauchamp added one hit apiece.

Alanna Routt, Ava Boozer and DrewAnn White combined in the pitching circle to limit the visitors to two runs on two hits while striking out seven.

Game two started much the same as Fanning opened the game with a double. After a walk it was Harman that cleared the bases with a triple to leftfield. She scored one pitch later on an Ammons sacrifice fly to make it 3-0.

Murray State struck for four more tallies in the second frame on a Harman one-out grand slam. Karsyn Nye singled and scored on another Fanning double to start a two-run third inning in which Harman doubled for her seventh RBI of the game.

A final pair of runs in the fourth was sparked by a Nye triple.

Harman had three of the team's 11 hits in the contest while Fanning and Nye posted two each. Igou, Ammons, Carter and Beauchamp all had one.

Isabella Hardeman dominated through five scoreless innings for the pitching victory, yielding just two hits while striking out 10.
