The Murray State Aggies baseball team scored at least once in every inning and rode dominant pitching to a 14-0 run-rule win over Arkansas State University-Three Rivers at The Ranch on Saturday afternoon.
With the victory, Coach
Sam Bjorling's squad improved to 10-4 on the season and will host the Eagles for a doubleheader to conclude the series starting at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Aggies got off to a blazing start with four runs in the opening frame as
Brennan Morgan doubled in a pair to fuel the charge while providing an omen of things to come.
Austin Haley's second inning home run added two more to the lead and they tacked on three more tallies in the third as
Tanner Norman drove in one with a triple and
Junho Son and
Marlon Moore contributed RBI singles.
Murray State continued the onslaught an inning later as a
Brady Taylor home run helped add on two more tallies. Haley drove in another in the fifth with a single and
Jaxon Miller accounted for the final two with a long ball in the sixth stanza.
Cash Kuiper was meanwhile cruising through the Three Rivers lineup, yielding just two hits with six strikeouts and two walks in picking up the mound triumph.
Heath Graf tossed in one frame of no-hit relief, fanning two more Eagles.
Son, Moore, Haley, Taylor and Morgan each ended with two hits for the Aggies.
Michael Barham, Miller and Norman tossed in one apiece.
