SPARTANBURG, SC – Just one out away from a huge comeback win, Murray State's Lady Aggies were stunned themselves as Kirkwood Community College notched three seventh inning runs to forge a 4-3 victory Wednesday in the third round of the NJCAA Division II Softball World Series.

The Lady Aggies saw their 23-game winning streak snapped and will have little time to recover before facing an elimination game at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening against Des Moines Area Community College, which eliminated fourth-seeded Jones College earlier in the day.

Offense was once again tough to come by for Murray State as the Lady Aggies were on the wrong end of a no-hitter with two outs in the fifth when Karsyn York slapped a single up the middle. Following a walk to Haili Igou, Bradi Harman stepped to the plate and delivered a three-run blast over the leftfield fence to put the Lady Aggies in front 3-1.

Harman returned to the pitching circle after yielding a run on four hits through four innings to start the contest and sat down five straight Lady Eagles before things unraveled quickly. Two straight walks followed by back-to-back doubles with Kirkwood down to its final out, put the Iowa squad in front.

Murray State had one final chance after Igou drew a two-out walk in the bottom of the seventh but Harman flew out to end the game as the Lady Aggies were limited to just two hits.

Harman tossed six innings, yielding four runs on five hits, struck out seven and walked six. Dara Hamlin pitched a scoreless fifth, allowing one hit and hitting one batter.
