You might go ahead and reserve Player of the Week honors for Murray State freshman standout Haili Igou after the left hand hitting stalwart put up a day for the record books on Sunday.

Igou blasted four home runs in four consecutive plate appearances, adding a double and seven runs batted in to spark the Lady Aggies to 8-0 and 8-3 over National Park College in the conference openers on the Tishomingo diamond.

Murray State improved to 23-3 on the season and remains home on Tuesday for a non-league doubleheader against Kirkwood Community College.

The Lady Aggies grabbed a 1-0 edge in the second inning of game one as Courtney Grey singled and advanced on a Gracie Lute hit before a two-out RBI single off the bat of Mattie Richardson.

National Park tied things one inning later but that was short-lived as Lexi Meadows and Bradi Harman belted a two-run homer over the leftfield wall to put the hosts ahead to stay.

Karsyn York's run-scoring double made a 4-1 edge in fourth and Igou smacked her first roundtripper leading off the fifth stanza. She returned to the plate with two outs in the sixth and smashed a laser over the centerfield wall that plated two more. Singles from Shaylin Midgley and Grey accounted for the final tally.

Grey was credited with the pitching win, yielding one run on two hits with four strikeouts over four innings. Brookly Ellis picked up a three-inning save in allowing no runs on two hits to finish the game.

Murray State ended with 15 hits as York, Harman, Igou, Midgley, Grey and Brighton O'Connor all had two apiece. Lexi Meadows, Lute and Richardson each finished with one.

Igou got the Lady Aggies off and running in game two as well, blasting a solo home run to open the second inning. Grey also singled and scored on a two-out hit from Kennedy Lord to make it 2-0.

The Stuart, Oklahoma freshman stalwart returned to the plate with two outs in the third frame and connected with her fourth straight roundtripper that also scored Harman.

Singles by Grey, Lord and York one stanza later extended the margin to 6-0 with Harman and Igou posting back-to-back doubles in the fifth to tack on another run.

National Park used a pair of home runs to narrow the gap with three tallies in the sixth before Murray State finished it off with a run in the bottom of the frame. O'Connor doubled and pinch runner Rogers came around to score on Richardson's sacrifice fly.

Igou contributed three hits with York, Harman, Grey and Lord all notching two. O'Connor and Butler added on apiece.

Dara Hamlin tossed five stellar shutout frames, scattering five hits while posting three strikeouts. Ellis yielded three runs on three hits in one frame of relief with Grey working the final scoreless inning of relief.
