Building as much as an 18-point lead, the Murray State Aggies watched NOC-Enid cut that margin in half in the second half before wrapping a 72-62 win over the visiting Jets Saturday night inside Beames Fieldhouse.
Isaiah Lewis pumped in 10 of his team-high 18 points in the opening 20 minutes as the Aggies carried a 35-25 lead into the locker room at the break. Both teams then tallied 37 points in the final half with a big chunk of Murray State's coming early as the advantage ballooned spurred by a big performance from
Treyvaughn Williams.
Williams notched 11 points after intermission on the way to finishing with 17 for the game.
RJ Chatman and
Stanley Harley reached double figures as well with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Tarrance Austin and
Emery Eberhard posted six points apiece with
Jackson Lawley adding three.
Notching their second straight triumph, the Aggies inched closer to leveling their record which stands at 10-11 overall and 5-2 in in league action going into Monday's road trip at Western Oklahoma College in Altus to close out the first half of conference play.
