The 11th ranked Murray State Lady Aggies exploded for 40 runs and 33 hits in a dominant non-conference sweep of Coffeyville Community College Friday night in Tishomingo.

Coach Aaron Mullens' club romped to a 26-4 triumph in game one and 14-0 in the nightcap as each game ended early on the run rule as the Lady Aggies upped their record to 18-2 on the season. The Red Raven losing skid reached seven as the Kansas visitors fell to 1-7 on the young campaign.

Although they fell behind 1-0 in the opening inning of game one, Murray State took all the suspense out of it in the second frame by plating a whopping 18 runs as they batted completely around the lineup two times.

Mattie Richardson's bases loaded triple pushed the Lady Aggies in front but they were far from finished with Bradi Harman adding a home run while Haili Igou chipped in two roundtrippers, including one inside-the-park. Brighton O'Connor also contributed an inside-the-park home run that plated three runs to cap the scoring barrage in the frame.

In total Murray State pounded out 10 hits in the decisive inning, but they weren't done by a long shot as Coffeyville scored three times in the third stanza before another Lady Aggie uprising accounted for eight runs tallies in the fourth.

Bella Butler began that frame with a double as she finished with two hits in the inning along with Emily Rogers. Kennedy Lord and Jordan Hayes also chipped in run-scoring singles.

Richardson posted two hits and four RBI, Igou and O'Connor each had two hits and three batted in. Karsyn York, Butler and Rogers wrapped up with two hits as well along with one hit apiece by Lexi Meadows, Harman, Lord, Gracie Lute and Hayes.

Dara Hamlin went the distance in the pitching circle for the victory, scattering four runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

In game two, it was Igou and Courtney Gray that spurred the offensive attack with three hits along with four RBI apiece.

Murray State wasted little time in plating three runs in the first inning. York belted a leadoff double and Igou chipped in a two-run double before Gray's RBI single.

Four Lady Aggie runs in the second frame added to the lead, ignited by three straight hits, including a Richardson RBI double. Igou also tripled.

A seven-run third inning eruption closed out the scoring in the nightcap, all which came with two outs. Harman and York singled in one run each, Igou drove in two with another hit and Gray belted a three-run homer over the centerfield wall.

York added three hits as Lute, Richardson and Haeley Vasquez all had two. Harman ended with one hit.

Butler was credited with the pitching win with two and two-third innings in which she allowed no runs on two hits. Brooklyn Ellis tossed the final two and one-third frames of scoreless, no-hit relief.

The Lady Aggies don't have another game until Friday when they drive to a festival event in Springfield, Missouri.
