TERRELL, Texas – Freshman Brandon Ivery scored the game's final five points, including a go-ahead three pointer with 1:15 remaining to lift the Murray State Aggies to a dramatic 82-78 triumph on the road at Southwestern Christian College on Saturday afternoon.

The victory improved the Aggies to 9-2 on the season while running their winning streak to six straight while avenging their last loss in the process. Murray State returns home for the first time in three weeks on Tuesday in search of a season sweep against Grayson County College in a 6 p.m. tipoff.

Ivery got off to a blazing start with five first half three pointers while combining with Elijah Tshibangu for 32 points before the halftime break in staking Murray State to a 46-42 advantage. Ivery only had one trey after intermission, but that proved to be the eventual game winner as he finished with a game-high 24 points, hitting six of nine attempts from beyond the arc. He also pulled down a team-leading eight rebounds.

Tshibangu tallied 22 as well for the Aggies, which included four three pointers in five attempts. Murray State finished 12 of 27 as a team from long range.

"They (Southwestern Christian) give us a lot of problems defensively because they are really good at scoring the ball," said head coach Josh Davis. "We were super resilient though in a tough environment. I'm incredibly proud of the total effort for another big win on the road. Brandon and Elijah really stepped up in big moments for us.

"Grayson will be an incredibly tough challenge on Tuesday after we beat them at their place before Thanksgiving. We're trying to go 4-0 in December and go into conference with plenty of momentum. We need a win back at home to try and keep that going."

Abeeng Agot also posted double figures with 11 points. Bol Agu chipped in eight, Chanon Frye had seven, RJ Chatman scored five, Ignas Juskevicius notched four and Devon McCollister rounded out the scoring with three points.
