Murray State Sports Information

The Murray State Aggies rode a big second half flurry to rally past Collin County College, 83-72, for a Homecoming victory in the squad's home opener on Friday night.

Now 2-1 on the young season, the Aggies will continue a five-game homestand on Monday, hosting Dallas College-Mountain View for a 6 p.m. tipoff.

Coach Josh Davis' club trailed 32-31 after a nip-and-tuck opening half before turning up the offensive fire following intermission with their highest scoring offensive half in a game this season. The Aggies capitalized on a trio of hot hands to outscore the Cougars by a 52-40 count.

Freshman Brandon Ivery pumped in 17 of his team-leading 27 points after the break while sophomore Rustin Coffey notched a career-high 19 points, including 14 following intermission. Sophomore post Bol Agu was the other offensive catalyst, knocking in 13 of his 15 points for the contest as well.

In addition to those three, Elijah Tshibangu tallied the double-digit mark with 13 points for Murray State. RJ Chatman chipped in five as Abeeng Agot had four.
