Murray State Sports Information

Freshman Olivia Quapaw poured in a season-high 23 points, including 15 in a wild fourth quarter explosion to spur the Murray State Lady Aggies to a big 82-75 road victory at Panola College Thursday night.

Murray State trailed 21-17 after one stanza before Ongolea Afu and Arissa Garcia each tossed in six in the second frame to snag a 34-31 halftime advantage.

The Lady Aggies extended the margin to 54-44 heading to the fourth when they needed most all of Quapaw's big effort in a 28-point final frame as the hosts were erupting for 31 points as well.

Sosefina Langi tallied 17 points with Afu also reaching double digits with a season-best 16 points. Mireia Casas canned a pair of threes on the way to eight points, Garcia wrapped up with six, Khalayah Willis scored five, Hannah Pinney had four while Tierra Williams rounded things out with three.

Now 6-1 on the season, the Lady Aggies return home on Saturday for a second meeting with University of Arkansas-Cossatot at 2 p.m.
