The Murray State Lady Aggies raced to a 22-7 first quarter lead but could not withstand the early momentum, dropping a 59-55 road conference decision at Seminole State on Tuesday night.

It was all Lady Aggies in the opening frame behind the hot perimeter shooting of Jade Millan and Mattie Busby building the 15-point edge but the Lady Trojans responded with their own scoring flurry in the second period, outscoring Murray State by a 26-11 margin to knot the score at 33 going into the half.

Seminole State notched a 13-12 offensive edge in the third to take a one-point lead to the final stanza and was able to hold off the Lady Aggies down the stretch.

Coach Steve Lowe's squad connected on eight of 24 (33 percent) from three-point range but were just 11 for 34 from two-point territory (33 percent) while cashing in just half their free throw opportunities (9 for 18).

Millan knocked down five three-pointers on the way to 17 points with Busby also reaching double figures with a season-best 15 points as well as five rebounds. Those however were the only Lady Aggies in double digits.

Lanie Gooch tallied seven points to go with seven rebounds, Reese Webb tossed in five points, Teniola Okunrinkoya had four, Remi Langmaid chipped in three as Bella Peterson and Briana Knabe contributed two each.

The Lady Aggies, who fell to 6-4 with their initial league defeat, are slated to return to action Thursday on the road at nationally 15^th ranked Collin County College for a non-conference outing.
