Cold Aggies win streak snapped by Cowboys

WARNER, Okla. – The Murray State Aggies were held to a season-low 49 points and saw their eight-game winning streak snapped with a tough 60-49 conference loss at Connors State College on Monday night.

Coach Josh Davis' club had scored at least 62 points in every game this season but could never find any offensive rhythm in sliding to 12-3 on the season. Connors improved to 12-2 with both teams now 1-1 in league play.

Murray State returns home on Thursday to face Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa for a 7:30 tilt inside Beames Fieldhouse.

The Aggies never found their offensive footing, managing just 21 points in the initial 20 minutes as they trailed 24-21 at intermission. Things got a little better after the break, but not much as they were outscored 36-28 in the second half.

Elijah Tshibangu was the only Aggie to reach double figures, posting 17 points. Brandon Ivery pitched in nine, Bol Agu had eight, RJ Chatman added five, Chanon Frye scored three while Abeeng Agot and Rustin Coffey notched two each.
