WARNER, Okla – Murray State caught fire with one of its best offensive halves of the season Thursday night but it still wasn't near enough to offset a scorching second half by league co-leader Connors State as the Aggies lost a 94-78 road decision.

Freshman Ignas Juskevicius returned to the lineup from injury and pumped in 10 first half points as the Aggies trailed the powerful Cowboys by a slim 34-33 margin at intermission.

Murray State even outdid the first half production with a 44-point second half barrage led by 12 from R.J. Chatman but the hosts were lighting it up even more, sinking 22 free throws and five three pointers. Those numbers translated to a staggering 60 points following the break to pull away.

While conference offensive standout Braden Hubbard was posting 22 of his game-high 30 points after halftime, the Aggies were utilizing a balanced assault that included four players in double figures.

Isaiah Lewis led that charge for Murray State with 18 points while R.J. Chatman tallied 17, including 12 after the half. Stanley Harley and Juskevicius each notched 14 points. Emery Eberhard ended with six, Treyvaughn Williams had five with Tarrance Austin adding four points.

Falling just shy of reaching the .500 mark once again at 11-13 and 6-4 in conference action, the Aggies will be right back on the road Monday night at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa.
