Late Aggie flurry comes up short at NOC-Tonkawa

Stanley Harley's three-pointer with 17 seconds remaining capped a big Murray State second half rally to force overtime, but another closing trey attempt was off the mark to allow host Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa to hold on for a 71-68 conference win Monday night.

It was a 37-32 lead for the host Mavs after one half before Murray State answered with a 31-26 scoring edge after intermission while knotting the score at 63.

Tonkawa notched the first four points of the extra session before the Aggies again responded. Freddie Cooper's free throw trimmed the lead and Cordrayius Graham drained a three-pointer with two minutes left that evened the score at 67-all.

Murray State picked up a single free throw from Graham with 1:10 left but a running trey attempt from Harley bounced away as the horn sounded to preserve the NOC-Tonkawa win.

Cooper led three players in double figures for the Aggies with 16 points as Harley checked in with 13 and K.J. Boone added 10. Kameron Johnson, who had a late steal to keep Murray alive, finished with eight points.

Graham tossed in seven, Ridley Shema scored six, T.J. Gardner and A.J. Richard had three each with Tarrance Austin ending with two points.
