Box Score 2 TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College baseball team lost game one, but responded with a victory in game two against Redlands Community College on Thursday.

Game 1: Redlands 16, Murray State 6
Redlands struck in the first inning, capitalizing on an Aggie error to set up a two-run single and take a quick 2-0 lead.

Murray State answered in the second inning when
Brady Taylor delivered a big swing, launching a two-run home run to right field that also scored
Brady LaViolette, evening the score at two.
Â
Redlands regained control in the third with back-to-back RBI singles to go ahead 4-2.
Â
The visitors extended their lead in the fifth inning with a two-run homer and additional run-producing at-bats, stretching the margin to 8-2.

The Aggies picked up a run in the sixth when
Rayner Beene laced a double to left field, bringing home
Eli Ramirez to make it 8-3.

Redlands broke the game open in the seventh inning, highlighted by a grand slam and a three-run homer that pushed the lead to 16-3.

Murray State showed late fight in the bottom half of the seventh.
Boston Knowles connected on a solo home run, followed by a two-run home run by
Brady LaViolette. The hosts, though, were unable to scratch any more runs across and fell to Redlands, 16-6.

Game 2: Murray State 17, Redlands 2
Murray State responded in emphatic fashion, erupting for a massive offensive performance from the very first inning.

In the bottom of the first,
Rayner Beene crushed a three-run home run to center field, scoring
Brady Taylor and
Michael Barham. The power surge continued immediately as
Tanner Norman followed with a solo home run, and
Sean Keenen added another, giving the Aggies a 5-0 lead after one inning.

Beene stayed hot in the second inning, launching his second home run of the game—a three-run blast that again scored Taylor and Barham—to push the lead to 8-0.

In the third, Taylor added a double to score
Cason Johnson, extending the margin further.
Â
The Aggies kept rolling in the fourth as
Marlon Moore doubled in a run, and Johnson added a sacrifice fly to make it 11-0.

Redlands got on the board in the fifth, but Murray State responded immediately. Norman drove in a run on a groundout, Keenen added an RBI double, and Johnson singled in two more runs to stretch the lead to 15-1.

In the sixth, Beene capped off his huge day with a two-run double, once again bringing home Taylor and Barham to make it 17-1.

Redlands added a late run in the seventh, but the Aggies closed it out with a dominant 17-2 victory.

Caden Allen was outstanding on the mound today for the Aggies. Allen fired five innings of one-run baseball, while striking out six.
Kylen Dodge threw the final two innings, striking out one.
Â
The Aggies travel to El Reno to conclude the season series with Redlands Community College on Saturday. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1:00 p.m.
