Box Score TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College women's basketball team overcame an early deficit and used a strong second half to defeat NOC-Tonkawa, 80-71, Thursday night on Sophomore Night to close out the regular season.

With the victory, Murray State finishes the regular season with an impressive 24-6 overall record and a 15-1 mark in conference play.

Before the game, the Murray State College women's basketball sophomores -
Keshanti Gordon,
Elena Hairston, and
Jordyn McNeal - were honored for their dedication and hard work while wearing the Lady Aggie uniform.

NOC-Tonkawa came out strong in the opening quarter, building a 21-11 lead after the first 10 minutes of play. The Lady Aggies settled in during the second quarter, tightening up defensively and chipping away at the deficit. Murray State outscored NOC-Tonkawa in the period to take a 35-29 advantage into halftime.

The contest remained close throughout the third quarter, with the Lady Aggies holding a narrow 53-50 lead heading into the final frame. Murray State created separation in the fourth quarter, executing offensively and knocking down key shots down the stretch to secure the 80-71 win.

Emily Steven led the Lady Aggies with a game-high 24 points.
Keshanti Gordon added 14 points, while
Jordyn McNeal contributed 12 points in the victory.

The Lady Aggies begin play in the Region 2 Tournament starting on Wednesday, March 11. Murray State is the No. 1 seed and will play against the No. 8 seed Eastern Oklahoma State College. Tipoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
