Box Score
TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College baseball team put together one of their most complete performances of the season, overpowering Eastern Oklahoma State College in a 19-1 victory on Monday afternoon.

Murray State wasted no time asserting control in the bottom of the first inning. Michael Barham opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly that brought home Brady Taylor. Moments later, Marlon Moore delivered an RBI double to score Tanner Norman. The big swing came from Fernando Jorge, who launched a three-run home run to left field, plating Sean Keenen and Moore to give the Aggies a 5-0 lead after one.

The Aggies continued to pile on in the second inning as Rayner Beene crushed a three-run homer to center field, extending the lead to 8-0 and putting Eastern Oklahoma State in an early hole.

Moore stayed hot in the fourth inning, ripping his second double of the game to score Keenen and push the lead to 9-0.

Eastern Oklahoma State's lone run came in the top of the fifth inning on an RBI single.

Murray State responded with a massive bottom half of the fifth inning to put the game out of reach. Beene delivered again, this time with a two-run triple that scored Taylor and Barham. A passed ball allowed Beene to score. Next, Moore added an RBI single, while Jorge drove in two more runs with a single to right field later in the frame. Aggressive baserunning and defensive miscues helped Murray State stretch the lead to 16-1 by the end of the inning.

The Aggies added the final touches in the sixth inning. Cason Johnson lifted a sacrifice fly to score another run, and Norman capped the day with a solo home run to right field, sealing the 19-1 victory.

Brance Garrett got the ball for the Aggies. Garrett threw five innings, while striking out eight and only giving up one unearned run. Aiden Luscombe and Lane Springfield each delivered a scoreless inning in relief.

The Aggies travel to Arkansas to take on UA Rich Mountain on Thursday for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
