ALTUS, Okla. - The Murray State College women's basketball team captured the Region 2 Regular-Season Championship on Monday night with a commanding 91-64 victory over Western Oklahoma State College.

With the win, the Lady Aggies improve to 23-6 overall and 13-1 in Region 2 play, officially securing the top spot in the Region 2 Tournament next week.

Murray State wasted no time setting the tone, pushing the pace offensively and applying defensive pressure that led to transition opportunities. The Lady Aggies controlled the tempo throughout the contest, building an eight-point lead by halftime and never allowing Western to mount a serious comeback.

The visitors from Tishomingo extended their lead early and often in the second half to cruise to the victory, 91-64.

A balanced offensive attack powered the championship-clinching performance, as five Lady Aggies scored in double figures. Jordyn McNeal led the way with 19 points, attacking the rim and converting key buckets to maintain momentum. Jada Toure added 15 points, providing a steady presence inside the paint. Keshanti Gordon finished with 13 points, while Aniah Richard and Eliece Perry each contributed 11 points to round out the scoring surge.

The Lady Aggies return home Thursday, March 5, to host NOC-Tonkawa in its final home game of the season. The matchup will also serve as Sophomore Day with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
