Box Score 2 TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College baseball team put together a complete day on the diamond Thursday, sweeping Carl Albert State College with a 4-2 win in Game 1 followed by a thrilling 10-9 victory in Game 2.

Game 1: Murray State 4, Carl Albert State 2
The Aggies struck first in the third inning when
Rayner Beene delivered an RBI double to left field, scoring
Brady Taylor to give Murray State a 1-0 lead.

Carl Albert State answered in the fourth inning, tying the game on a double before taking a 2-1 advantage later in the frame.

Murray State responded immediately in the bottom half. Aggressive baserunning by
Sean Keenen and
Marlon Moore set the table before
Cason Johnson lined an RBI single to right, evening the score at 2-2.

The Aggies regained control in the sixth inning. Moore lifted a sacrifice fly to center field, bringing home
Tanner Norman for the go-ahead run. Moments later, Johnson came through again with his second RBI single of the game, scoring Keenen and extending the lead to 4-2.

From there, Murray State's pitching staff shut things down, securing the opening-game win.
Tayte Dome earned the win as he went six and â…“ innings, while striking out six and allowing two runs.
Chance Baker picked up the save as he struck out the final two batters in the contest.

Game 2: Murray State 10, Carl Albert State 9
Game two featured an offensive explosion early, as Murray State plated four runs in the first inning.
Brady Taylor jumpstarted the scoring with a leadoff home run to center field.
Tanner Norman followed with an RBI double, while
Cason Johnson added another run with an RBI groundout. An error allowed an additional run to score, making it 4-0.

The Aggies kept rolling in the second inning.
Rayner Beene drove in a run with a double before
Sean Keenen delivered a two-run single to push the lead to 7-0.

Carl Albert State clawed back into the game, scoring twice in the third and mounting a four-run fifth inning to cut the deficit to 7-6.

Murray State answered in a big way in the bottom of the fifth when
Fernando Jorge launched a two-run home run, extending the lead to 9-6.

Carl Albert State continued to apply pressure, scoring again in the seventh to make it 9-7. But once again, Taylor responded, crushing his second home run of the game in the bottom half to give the Aggies a crucial insurance run at 10-7.

The visitors made things interesting in the ninth, capitalizing on an error to score two runs and cut the lead to one. However, Murray State held on in the final moments to secure the 10-9 win and complete the sweep.

The Aggies travel to Poteau to complete the four-game series with Carl Albert State College. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
