EL RENO, Okla. - The Murray State College Lady Aggies battled back from a double-digit deficit but came up just short in a 63–59 loss to Redlands on Thursday.
 
Murray State and Redlands were neck and neck early as the hosts from El Reno held a narrow 15–13 lead at the end of the first quarter. The contest remained tightly contested in the second period with Redlands holding on to a 27–26 advantage into halftime.
 
Redlands created separation in the third quarter, building a 46–32 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the period. The Lady Aggies responded late in the quarter with a key run to trim the deficit to 10 heading into the final quarter.
 
Murray State carried its momentum into the fourth quarter, steadily chipping away at the deficit and cutting the lead to just one point with a little over three minutes to play. The Lady Aggies continued to fight down the stretch and trailed by two with 15 seconds remaining. A potential go-ahead three-pointer from the corner missed, and a put-back attempt on the offensive rebound was blocked. Redlands secured the rebound and converted free throws in the closing seconds to defeat Murray State, 61-57.

Keshanti Gordon led the way for the Aggies with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting along with four rebounds and three steals. Aniah Richard added 14 points, while Jordyn McNeal recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Jada Toure provided six points and nine rebounds off the bench, and Eliece Perry anchored the defense with three blocks and five rebounds. 

Murray State will return home to take on Connors State College on Monday, February 16. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
