Box Score SEMINOLE, Okla. - The Murray State College women's basketball team earned a convincing road victory, defeating Seminole State College 70–55 on Monday night.
The Lady Aggies set the tone early in the Region 2 opener, widening their advantage to double digits mid-way through the first quarter and never looking back. Murray State College controlled the pace on both ends of the floor, using strong defense and efficient offense to keep Seminole State at arm's length throughout the contest.
By halftime, the Lady Aggies had built a comfortable advantage and continued to execute in the second half, answering every Seminole State run with timely baskets and solid defensive stops. Murray State College's consistency and depth proved to be the difference as they closed out the 15-point wire-to-wire victory.
Keshanti Gordon led all scorers with 20 points, while
Emily Steven added 17 points, knocking down 5-of-9 from three-point range.
Eliece Perry finished with nine points,
Jordyn McNeal chipped in seven, and
Aniah Richard contributed six points to go along with a strong all-around performance that included 12 assists.
Jada Toure scored five points,
J'Lynn Orozco added four, and
Chardel Terrell rounded out the scoring with two points.
Murray State will return to the court on January 8 as they travel to take on NOC-Enid. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
