Lady Aggies Edge Connors State on the Road

Box Score WARNER, Okla. - The Murray State College Lady Aggies earned a hard-fought road victory over Connors State College, 80-76, on Thursday night.
 
Connors State came out strong early, holding Murray State to 15 points in the opening quarter and taking a 19-15 advantage after one. The Lady Aggies responded in the second period with improved offensive rhythm and defensive intensity, outscoring Connors State to take a 36-31 lead into the half.
 
Murray State continued to build momentum after the break, using balanced scoring and steady execution to maintain control. The Lady Aggies pushed the lead to 61-54 by the end of the third quarter, but Connors State refused to go away, closing the gap in the final minutes and turning the contest into a one-possession game.
 
With Murray State clinging to a two-point lead in the closing seconds, the Lady Aggies delivered when it mattered most. A crucial defensive stop with 22 seconds remaining shifted the momentum, and Spirit Sheriff stepped to the free throw line moments later, calmly knocking down both shots to seal the 80-76 win.
 
Eliece Perry led Murray State with 18 points, while Jordyn McNeal added 16 points. Keshanti Gordon also reached double figures with 13 points.
The Aggies return to the court Monday for a home contest against Eastern Oklahoma State College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
