WARNER, Okla. — The Murray State College men's basketball team frustrated Connors State College all night as the Aggies picked up a key road victory tonight, 73–63.

The Aggies took control early, taking a double-digit lead during parts of the first half. The hosts fought back and cut MSC's lead to 4 at halftime, 30-26.

The visitors from Tishomingo sprinted out to another double-digit advantage early in the second half. CSC tried to cut into the lead, but Murray State's defense and timely offense proved to be too much for the hosts as the Aggies knocked down free throws at the end of the game to secure the Region 2 victory.

Murray State's offensive attack was led by Haki Muhammad II, who poured in 25 points on efficient shooting and did damage at the free-throw line, going 8-for-16 from the field and 7-of-12 from the charity stripe.

Tayesen Combs added 12 points, while Abeeng Agot chipped in 10 points and seven key rebounds to help fuel the Aggies' effort. Malachi Schilreff was all over the court for Murray State as he snatched 10 boards, recorded five steals, and added four points. Aymen Kraria dished out a team-high 9 assists, while Domantas Šarauskas got the visitors off to a great start with a quick eight points when he checked in for the first time in the contest.

The Aggies shot 36.4% from the floor, made 20 of 30 free throws, and only committed six turnovers, which was a major factor in claiming the road victory.

Murray State returns home for a home game against Eastern Oklahoma State College on Jan. 19. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Beames Fieldhouse as the Aggies continue Region 2 action.
