Box Score PLANO, TEXAS - The Murray State College women's basketball team battled hard on the road but fell just short in an 81–76 loss to No. 20 Collin College Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies jumped out to an early lead, taking a 28–18 advantage after 10 minutes of play. Murray State maintained the edge through the first half, leading 49–40 at the break.
Collin College responded in the second half to take a lead in the fourth quarter. Despite multiple late runs and clutch baskets from the Lady Aggies, the Lady Cougars held on for the 81-76 victory.
Murray State was paced by
Emily Steven with 17 points.
Eliece Perry added 14 points, while
Keshanti Gordon finished with 13 points. Collin College received 21 points each from Olivia Grgicevich Lassey and Sara Basaran, along with 11 points from Ella Macleod.
Murray State returns to action on Tuesday, Dec. 9 as they take on Ranger College.
