BETHANY, Okla. - The Murray State College women's basketball team closed out the first semester of games with a convincing 67–41 victory over Southwestern Christian University JV Friday night.
The Aggies built momentum early, edging ahead 14–11 after the first quarter before tightening up defensively in the second period. Murray State outscored SCU JV, 18–7, in the quarter to take a 32–18 lead into halftime. The Aggies continued to control the tempo after the break, stretching the advantage to 53–33 by the end of the third quarter and finishing the night with a 26-point win.
Keshanti Gordon led Murray State with 16 points, providing a steady scoring presence throughout the game, while
Eliece Perry added 11 points. The Lady Aggies' balanced effort on both ends of the floor allowed them to pull away as the game progressed and secure the decisive win.
Murray State will return to the court on January 5 as they travel to take on Seminole State College. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
