Back in their home gym for a game the first time this season, the Murray State Lady Aggies scorched the nets for 14 three pointers to remain unbeaten with a 116-65 thrashing of visiting Dallas College-Mountain View on Homecoming Friday night.

The 4-0 Lady Aggies will have their biggest test to date in a massive road showdown at nationally top-ranked Hutchinson Community College at 5:30 on Saturday night.

In Friday's home opener, Coach Nate Levine's squad wasted little time asserting its dominance, sprinting to a massive 34-6 advantage after one period. They continued to force turnovers in rapid succession in the second stanza while building a 63-24 halftime edge.

It was more of the same in the third quarter as the Lady Aggies continued their torrid pace with 30 more points in the 10-minute frame on the way to a 93-41 cushion entering the final period.

Five Lady Aggies tallied double figures led by a monster effort from sophomore Mya Cotto, who connected on four treys and posted 27 points. Mireia Casas poured in 16, Ongolea Afu and Taja Bennett tossed in 15 apiece with Keshanti Gordon canning three treys on the way to 11 points.

Latai Charles contributed nine, Arissa Garcia had eight, Brooklyn Weier tallied seven while Jordyn McNeal and Autumn Sipes-Louie each added three with Elyssia Brooks rounding out the total with two points.

"Our press was very active in the first quarter and got us out to a big lead," Levine commented. "Our shooting and ability to finish at the basket kept the pressure on them after that. It was a good team win."
