Alex Morais comes to Tishomingo from the University of Charleston where he helped the Golden Eagles to a Mountain East Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championship, culminating in a berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Prior to Charleston, Morais was previously the Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach at Lincoln Trail College in Illinois. Both programs had their best overall records of all-time and the men's soccer program managed to receive votes to be nationally ranked in the NJCAA DI national poll for the first time in the program's history.
Before LTC, Morais served as a graduate assistant men's soccer coach at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. He also served as the ECNL U17/U19 head coach at St. Louis Scott Gallagher. Additionally, Morais was the head coach for the Austin United FC NPSL club and the Technical Director for the Austin United FC Academy in Texas.
Morais was a two-time captain as a soccer player at the University of Illinois Springfield from 2017 to 2019 and also played at the University of Charleston in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UIS and a Master's of Business Administration from SIUE. Morais has achieved his United States Soccer Federation C license and Performance Analyst Course Level 3 from CBF Academy (Brazilian Soccer Federation).
