Joel Plummer

Plummer enters his fourth season with the Aggies' Men's Basketball program and his seventh year of collegiate coaching overall. Plummer helped guide the Aggies to a three win conference improvement in his second year with the program. He also helped lead the Aggies to their first appearance in the National Tournament in Hutch since 1969. He is in charge of recruiting, opponents scout, film, player development, and housing. 

Plummer comes to MSC after spending three seasons as an Assistant Coach at the University of Illinois Springfield from 2014-2017.  While at UIS, he was responsible for recruiting, video and film exchange, opponent scouting, player development, scheduling and academic progress.  He coached and developed multiple student athletes including some that went on to play overseas.

Prior to UIS, Plummer was a Graduate Assistant along with Coach O'Connor at Kansas State University.  He was a part of the 2012-2013 Big 12 Championship team and was also there for two NCAA Tournament appearances.  Plummer was responsible for the team's equipment, student managers, camps and any duties assigned by the coaching staff or administration.  He graduated from K-State with a Master of Science Degree in Academic Advising in December of 2014.

Plummer graduated from the University of Kansas in December of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management where he was also a part of the student manager program. 

Plummer is also the Head Women's & Men's Golf Coach at MSC.
