Alec Venegas

Alec Venegas begins his first season on the Aggie Coaching staff. Venegas serves as the Outfield Coach, as well as serving in a number of other capacities including helping to oversee the teams strength and conditioning and vision training. He comes to Murray State with 3 years of coaching experience after a four-year collegiate playing career.

The last two seasons Venegas served as the Assistant Coach at Noble High School and helped lead the Bears to back-to-back Oklahoma High School State Tournaments. While at Noble he coached 3 players that went on to play at the collegiate level, including one committed to the prestigious Southeastern Conference.

During the summer of 2020, Venegas served as the Head Coach of the Oklahoma Lookouts in the Metro Scout Collegiate League, leading the Lookouts to a runner-up finish.

Venegas began his coaching career at Doane University, in Crete, NE in the 2019-2020 season. At Doane, Venegas served as the Outfield Coach and Head JV baseball Coach.

Venegas played collegiately at St.Gregory’s University and York University. In 2019, Venegas earned a Bachelor’s Degree from York University in Sports Management.
