SEMINOLE, Okla. – Murray State College freshman pitcher - Rylan Peevyhouse - has been named NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week following a dominant set of performances against Carl Albert State College.

Peevyhouse was nearly untouchable across three appearances, helping lead the Lady Aggies to a trio of wins. She compiled 7.1 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four batters. Opponents were unable to generate any offense as the freshman from Caddo H.S. kept the Vikings off balance throughout the series.

She opened her week on Thursday with a perfect one-inning outing in relief, needing just three batters to seal the victory for the Lady Aggies. Later that day, Peevyhouse returned to the circle and delivered a strong four-inning performance, allowing only one hit while striking out three to earn her first collegiate win in the circle.

Peevyhouse capped off her week on Saturday with another couple scoreless innings.

On the season, Peevyhouse has been an extremely reliable arm for the deepest pitching staff in the country. In 22.1 innings pitched, she has allowed just eight hits while striking out 20 batters. Most impressively, she has yet to allow an earned run, holding a perfect 0.00 ERA.

The Murray State College softball team is 59-1 and ranked No. 2 in the latest NJCAA Coaches Poll, which was released earlier today.
