SEMINOLE, Okla. – Murray State College sophomore sensation -
Isabella Hardeman - has been named the Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for the sixth time this season, continuing her dominant run in the circle for the Lady Aggies.
Hardeman was outstanding in two appearances against North Arkansas College this week, highlighted by a no-hitter in game one of the series.
On Thursday, she tossed seven no-hit innings, while striking out 14 batters in a 7-0 victory. She followed that performance up by striking out the side in one inning of work in relief the next game.
Across the two outings, Hardeman compiled 17 strikeouts over eight no-hit innings.
For the season, the reigning NJCAA Pitcher of the Year has once again established herself as one of the top pitchers in the nation, posting a 25-1 record with a 0.65 ERA over 118.1 innings pitched. She has allowed just 49 hits and 12 runs (11 earned) while striking out 175 batters and limiting opponents to a .120 batting average.
The Murray State College softball team is 55-1 on the season and ranked No. 2 in the latest NJCAA DII Coaches Poll, which was released earlier today.
