SEMINOLE, Okla. – Eli Ramirez has been named Region 2 Pitcher of the Week following a dominant outing in Murray State College's title-clinching sweep over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa Saturday.

Ramirez delivered when it mattered most, turning in a strong performance on the mound to help secure the Region 2 West Regular Season Championship for the Aggies.

The right-hander worked five innings, allowing just four hits and one earned run while striking out an impressive 10 batters. He also limited free passes, issuing just one walk in a controlled and efficient outing.

From the start, Ramirez set the tone by attacking hitters and missing bats at a high rate. His ability to generate strikeouts in key moments kept NOC-Tonkawa from building any sustained offensive momentum, while the Aggies' offense provided the support needed to finish off the sweep.

On the season, Ramirez boasts a 3.51 ERA over 48 ⅔ innings of work. Ramirez has 78 strikeouts, while opponents are hitting .179 against him.

The Murray State College baseball team is 37-11 and ranked No. 9 in the latest NJCAA Coaches Poll, which was released earlier today.
