SEMINOLE, Okla. – Michael Barham has been named Region 2 Player of the Week after leading Murray State College to a series sweep of Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Thursday and Saturday - a sweep that clinched the Region 2 West Regular Season Title for the Aggies.

Barham turned in a dominant stretch at the plate, delivering clutch hits and game-changing power throughout the four-game series.

On Thursday, Barham caught fire immediately. He went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two home runs in the opener, setting the tone early. He followed with an even bigger performance in game two, finishing 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two doubles, a home run, and five RBIs, powering the Aggies to another victory.

He stayed productive on Saturday, adding two more hits across the doubleheader, including an RBI and a double to help complete the sweep. For the week, Barham was 7-for-16 (.438), while scoring five runs and totaling eight RBIs.

His explosive offensive output played a major role in Murray State's ability to not only sweep the series, but also lock up the Region 2 West Regular Season title.

The Murray State College baseball team is 37-11 and ranked No. 9 in the latest NJCAA Coaches Poll, which was released earlier today.
