SEMINOLE, Okla. – Murray State College sophomore right-handed pitcher,
Isabella Hardeman, has been named the NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week following a perfect week in the circle for the Lady Aggies.
Hardeman was nearly untouchable across two appearances, earning wins in both outings while not allowing a single run. She opened the week on Friday by firing a perfect game against Southeast Arkansas College. The sophomore was electric as she compiled seven strikeouts across five innings in the 10-0 victory.
Hardeman followed that performance on Saturday with another stellar outing against SAU Tech. In a 20-0 win, Hardeman worked three innings, allowing just one hit while striking out three and again keeping the opposition off the scoreboard.
Across the week, Hardeman posted a 2-0 record with eight scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out 10 batters and walking none.
On the season, Hardeman owns a 0.70 ERA with a 20-1 record, tallying 128 strikeouts over 90.1 innings pitched. The right-handed pitcher's 20 wins leads the country by an incredible five wins over the next closest pitcher.
The Murray State College softball team is 43-1 on the season and ranked No. 2 in the latest NJCAA DII Coaches Poll, which was released earlier today.
