CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Murray State College baseball team continues to make a strong statement on the national stage, climbing to No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll.
Â
Murray State jumped seven spots from No. 13 in last week's rankings after an impressive stretch of play that pushed the Aggies' record to 20-6 overall.
Â
The rise in the poll comes during a seven-game winning streak for the Aggies, highlighted by a dominant week on the field. Murray State first picked up a non-conference victory over Dallas College–Richland, then followed it up with a four-game sweep of Northern Oklahoma College-Enid in conference action.
Â
East Central Community College holds the No. 1 spot with a 25-5 record and all 13 first-place votes, followed by Pasco-Hernando State College at No. 2 and Pearl River Community College at No. 3.
Â
The Aggies will look to extend their winning streak later this week as they host Carl Albert State College on Thursday. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
