TISHOMINGO, Okla. — The Murray State College men's basketball team built a first-half lead but couldn't hold off a strong second-half push from Northern Oklahoma College–Enid, falling 82–72 on Monday night.
The Aggies came out sharp and led 39–32 at the break behind efficient early offense and active defense.
NOC-Enid, though, flipped the script after halftime, outscoring Murray State 50–33 in the second half. The Jets capitalized on improved shooting and timely stops to erase the deficit and pull away down the stretch.
Murray State struggled to find consistency offensively, shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 52.9 percent at the free-throw line for the game.
Aymen Kraria set the tone, scoring 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while
Tayesen Combs knocked down four three-pointers on his way to 14 points.
Abeeng Agot added energy on both ends, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds, and four blocks.
Ashton Smith provided a spark off the bench with 14 points.
Murray State will travel to Redlands Community College on Thursday, February 12. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
