SEMINOLE, Okla. – Eli Ramirez turned in a dominant performance on the mound against Southeast Arkansas College, earning NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week honors for his work in the series.
 
Ramirez was electric in his outing on Feb. 7, working four strong innings while striking out eight hitters and only allowing a pair of runs en route to a victory. He limited Southeast Arkansas to just three hits, issued only one walk, and consistently overpowered batters with his command and swing-and-miss stuff.
 
Despite facing pressure, Ramirez showed poise throughout his appearance, attacking the strike zone and shutting down rallies with timely strikeouts. His ability to control the game and keep Murray State College in position to win highlighted his importance to the Aggies' pitching staff.
 
Ramirez is 1-0 so far this season on the mound. He has thrown nine innings, while striking out 19 batters and only giving up two runs.
