SEMINOLE, Okla. – Murray State College standout
Jordyn McNeal has been named Region 2 Player of the Week after a dominant stretch of performances, leading the Lady Aggies to a 3-0 week.
McNeal showcased her all-around impact across three games, averaging 18 points and seven rebounds while shooting an efficient 63.6 percent from the field (18-of-28) and 87.5 percent from the free-throw line (17-of-19). She also contributed defensively with seven blocks and four steals during the span.
McNeal opened the week with a stellar performance against Connors State College on Feb. 16, scoring 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting while knocking down seven of eight free throws. She added six rebounds, two assists, and a block in a well-rounded effort.
McNeal followed that performance with another efficient outing on Feb. 19 against Eastern Oklahoma State College, finishing with 17 points while shooting 7-of-9 from the field. McNeal contributed across the stat sheet with six rebounds, three blocks, three steals, and two assists.
She closed the week strong on Feb. 21 versus Western Oklahoma State College, recording 16 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. McNeal also added three blocks and connected on seven of eight free-throw attempts to help pace the Lady Aggies.
For the season, McNeal is averaging 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and has led the Lady Aggies to a 21-6 record so far this season.
