NJCAA DII Preseason Poll
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Murray State College softball team has been selected No. 1 in the preseason NJCAA Coaches Poll, marking a triumphant return to the top spot as anticipation builds for the 2026 season. The Lady Aggies obtained all 11 first-place votes.

Murray State capped off last season with a remarkable 62-3 overall record, showcasing dominant offense, lockdown pitching, and a relentless competitive spirit that carried them deep into postseason play. That exceptional performance earned national attention and set the stage for high expectations in 2026.

This latest preseason designation marks the program's first No. 1 ranking since 2023, a testament to the sustained excellence and tradition of success at Murray State College.

The Lady Aggies return a deep roster featuring four NFCA All-Americans - Isabella Hardeman, Kaylee Carter, Brylee Fanning, and Cady Ammons. Hardeman was also named the 2025 NJCAA Pitcher of the Year.

The Lady Aggies begin the season on Jan. 30 with a home doubleheader against Barton Community College.  First pitch is scheduled for noon.
