TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College men's soccer team put on a dominant performance on Wednesday, defeating Rose State College, 4-1, behind a dazzling hat trick from
Daniel Minhas.
Minhas wasted no time making his presence felt, finding the back of the net three times in the opening 29 minutes to give the Aggies complete control of the match. His quick scoring surge set the tone, as Murray State's offense moved with precision and speed, leaving Rose State scrambling to respond.
The Aggies added to their lead early in the second half when
Dariel Contrera capitalized in the 49th minute, finishing a well-built attack to stretch the advantage to 4-0. Rose State managed to pull one goal back later in the half, but Murray State's defense held strong to secure the convincing victory.
"It was great to see Daniel produce the goals we all know he is capable of," said Coach Winning. "A lot of players got opportunities today, and it was great to pick up another strong home win."
With the win, the Aggies improve to 3-0 in Region 2 play and 3-1-1 overall.
Murray State will be back in action next week for a road matchup with NOC-Enid on Sept. 10. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
