Box Score TISHOMINGO, Okla. - The Murray State College men's soccer team earned a gritty 2-1 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in a match that stretched across two days due to weather delays. The match originally started on Sunday at 1 p.m. Due to weather conditions, the second half was suspended until today to conclude the match.
The Aggies wasted no time getting on the scoreboard Sunday, as
Dariel Contrera opened the scoring in the first half. Not long after,
Matheus Andrade Gomes doubled the lead to put Murray State up 2-0 before heavy rain forced the match to be suspended.
Play resumed Monday with the Aggies protecting their two-goal cushion. NEO A&M pulled one back in the 88th minute, but Murray State held firm in the closing minutes to secure the victory.
With the win, the Aggies showcased both their attacking firepower and defensive resilience, handling the unusual circumstances to come away with another victory and move to 6-0-1 in Region 2 action.
