Aggies Conclude Season with Loss in Region 2 Tournament

NOC-Enid defeated Murray State College by a score of 19-11 on Friday afternoon

Box Score HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - The Murray State College 2025 baseball season came to an end this afternoon as the Aggies lost to NOC-Tonkawa in the Region 2 Tournament.  

The NOC-Enid Jets scratched across a run in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.
 
The Aggies responded right back in the top of the second. Tanner Norman drilled a solo home run over the right field fence, knotting the game at one.
 
The Jets, though, answered back with a 6-run bottom of the frame to take a 7-1 lead after two innings of action.
 
NOC-Enid tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the third inning, making the score 10-1.
 
The Aggies answered back with two runs in the 4th to cut the deficit to seven.
 
The fifth inning saw eight runs scored, five by the Aggies and three by the Jets. This made the score 13-8 entering the final four innings of the contest.
 
The Aggies got a run back in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI-single by Zach Makarewich, trimming the deficit to just four.
 
Murray State added a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to cut NOC Enid's lead in half. The Jets, however, answered back in a big way with six runs in the bottom half of the frame to put the game out of reach.
 
The Aggies attempted to mount a comeback but were unable and lost, 19-11, to conclude their season. Murray State finishes the year with a 33-23 record and 14-10 mark in conference play.
