Four Aggies Named All-Region

Austin Haley, Michael Barham, Jakob Holzer, and Brennan Morgan were named to the All-Region 2 First Team

TISHOMINGO, Okla. – The NJCAA Region 2 awards were released this week, and four Murray State College baseball players were recognized for their efforts on the field this season. Austin Haley, Michael Barham, Jakob Holzer, and Brennan Morgan were named to the First Team.  

Austin Haley led the Aggies in almost every offensive category this season. The sophomore standout led the team in batting average (.503), on-base percentage (.593), hits (95), doubles (17), and home runs (14). A consistent force at the plate, Haley collected 64 RBIs and scored 68 times. His combination of power, speed, and plate discipline made him a key offensive catalyst and one of the top hitters in the region.
 
Michael Barham emerged as a cornerstone of Murray State College's offense in his first season with the Aggies. The Duncan H.S. product delivered a robust .353 batting average with 71 hits, including 15 doubles and 12 home runs. Barham also led the Aggies with a team-best 71 RBIs.
 
Jakob Holzer led the Aggie pitching staff with an 8-1 record including a 2.64 ERA and six saves. The sophomore struck out 76 batters in only 58 innings while only allowing 17 earned runs on the season.
 
Brennan Morgan posted a .337 batting average and an impressive 1.081 OPS over 52 games, accumulating 55 hits, including 14 doubles and 11 home runs, and driving in 58 RBIs.

The Aggies finished the season with a 33-23 record and 14-10 mark in Region 2.
